I've been listening to online radio a-plenty lately. I dunno...throwing in CDs has gotten so redundant. I'm the kind of guy who will listen to one over and over and over and over again, to where I'm pretty much burned out. So online radio has been a good break from that sort of action and keeps be being a fan of stuff that I like instead of a burned-out Scrouge.
I've been a 3WK fan for some time now, actually. Back about two years ago I was listening to it on a daily basis, but abruptly stopped when I had to upload a new Real Player and things went screwy here at my work computer. 3WK is still cool, but I'm also into AccuRadio because the player itself will tell you what they're playing instead of 3WK where you have to have their website up to catch the song info. "High Fidelity" and "Twang" are my favorite AccuRadio channels. This is one that my friend AJ sent me, its all the way from the University of Glasgow. (And I agree with AJ, most of the enjoyment you get from this one comes from the incredible accents of the djs.) 97X is another good one, made even better as it is actually the radio station from Rain Man ("97X, bam! The future of rock 'n' roll. 97X, bam! The future of rock 'n' roll. 97X, bam! The future of rock 'n' roll." "Ray, enough already! Change the channel.") And, of course, I love me some WUAG...but I'm a retard and I can't get it to work on my computer.
So caffeine makes you hungry and, as noted earlier, I actually grabbed a cup of joe this morning ('cause I was just coming in from a really friggin' cold walk across campus). My stomach was growling a few minutes ago, but I walk in to get me some water and discover several plates of breakfast breads from a meeting some people attended. It was a nice, festive surprise.
